Squeegee Squad traces its roots back to 1999, when brothers Jack and Joe Ruegsegger launched a modest operation under the name Jack & Joe’s Window Cleaning, Inc. While pursuing his business degree, Joe joined his brother Jack, and together they rapidly expanded their services across the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota. By the early 2000s, demand had grown beyond residential window washing, prompting them to add pressure washing, gutter cleaning, snow plowing, and other exterior maintenance services to their lineup.
As their business evolved, they rebranded to Squeegee Squad to support franchising and broader recognition. The company began franchising in 2005 under the corporate entity Jack & Joe’s Franchising, Inc., and quickly gained traction—by 2013, they had opened over 30 locations across 16 U.S. states and four countries. Alongside residential and commercial window cleaning, they also branched into high-rise window services by 2007 and later added a building restoration division in 2015, which included caulking, waterproofing, glass restoration, and elastomeric coating.
Today, Squeegee Squad is recognized as a leading franchise in the exterior cleaning sector of North America. They offer franchise partners training, marketing support, proprietary tools like their SquadwareOne™ software, RFP assistance, and more to help entrepreneurs launch and grow their operations. The franchise model has proven resilient and scalable, with numerous locations offering a wide array of services—from routine residential window cleaning to large commercial contracts and specialized restoration work.
