Tafa Jefferson and Chad Fotheringham – Where Passion & Purpose Collide

Tafa Jefferson and Chad Fotheringham met at the University of the Pacific in 1994; both were there on football scholarships. After graduation, Chad went the corporate route into the pharmaceutical industry. Tafa went on to play professional football with the Chicago Bears and would later run a successful care giving business with over 200 caregivers.

Years passed but their paths would cross again in 2007 when Tafa invited Chad to accompany him on a visit to a hospice client. Chad was impressed, not only by the clear business opportunity afforded by the booming senior population but also by the service aspects of it all – profit with a purpose. Chad took a leap of faith in co-founding Amada Home Care later that year.

Amada Senior Care, is a franchisor committed to enriching lives by providing compassionate non-medical in-home care and also guiding families through the complex senior housing options available for memory care.
