The company’s origins trace back to 1986, when entrepreneur John Hall founded AtWork in Knoxville, Tennessee. After successfully expanding the business to multiple offices across East Tennessee, Hall recognized the potential to grow the model nationwide and began franchising in 1992, opening the first franchise location in Decatur, Alabama. Over the years, AtWork has grown into a respected staffing franchise brand with offices across the country, placing thousands of people into jobs each year while supporting local businesses and communities.
