The Brass Tap was founded in 2007 when three restaurant industry veterans set out to create what they envisioned as the “ultimate beer bar.” The first location opened in Wesley Chapel, Florida, at a time when the craft beer movement was gaining momentum nationwide. Their goal was to build a neighborhood gathering place centered on an exceptional selection of craft beers, a polished yet relaxed atmosphere, and a sense of community that encouraged guests to linger, connect, and return often.
As demand grew, The Brass Tap began franchising in the early 2010s, expanding the concept beyond its Florida roots. The brand differentiated itself by offering a curated lineup of rotating craft beers on tap, complemented by specialty cocktails, premium wines, and elevated shareable food options. Live music, trivia nights, and community-driven events became hallmarks of the experience, helping each location feel both energetic and locally connected.
Today, The Brass Tap operates 50+ locations across more than a dozen states, with continued development underway. Its growth reflects strong consumer interest in craft beer–focused concepts and an operational model that appeals to franchisees seeking an upscale bar experience with broad demographic appeal.
