Welcome Aboard: Hammer & Nails
Hammer & Nails was founded by Michael Elliot, a Hollywood screenwriter, in 2013. The concept for the salon originated from Elliot’s personal frustration with the lack of comfortable, stylish grooming options for men. After experiencing a less-than-relaxing visit to a typical nail salon, he realized there was a gap in the market for a grooming space specifically designed for men. Elliot envisioned a place where men could enjoy premium grooming services like haircuts, shaves, and hand and foot care in a masculine and relaxing environment.
Elliot set out to create Hammer & Nails as a luxurious retreat that catered specifically to men’s grooming needs. The salon was designed to be a departure from traditional salons, with a rugged, masculine aesthetic that includes leather chairs, dark wood accents, and flat-screen TVs. This environment, combined with top tier grooming services, offered men a space where they could feel comfortable and pampered, redefining what it meant to experience self-care.
The concept quickly gained traction, and Hammer & Nails expanded through franchising, attracting men who sought a personalized, high-end grooming experience. Today, the brand continues to grow, offering services across the U.S. and carving out a niche in the male grooming industry, where it is recognized for both its innovation and the luxurious experience it provides to its clientele.

“I went for the first time recently for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. I’m not a guy that’s usually pampering myself but this is worth it. I plan to have a monthly subscription and tell my other friends about it!” -Actual Customer Review
