HEW Fitness, short for “Hard Exercise Works,” began with a mission to deliver a no-nonsense approach to fitness that prioritizes effort, results, and community. Originating in 2009 in Stuart, Florida, HEW Fitness was founded by John and Elaine Hamson, who sought to create a space where people from all fitness levels could challenge themselves in a supportive and encouraging environment. What started as a local effort to redefine group fitness quickly evolved into a movement that has inspired countless individuals to embrace healthier, more active lifestyles.
