Special Strong is a fitness franchise that provides specialized personal training and adaptive fitness programs for children, adolescents, and adults with mental, physical, and cognitive challenges. It was founded in 2016 by Daniel Stein in McKinney, Texas. Daniel, who was diagnosed with a learning disability and mental health challenges as a child, developed a passion for fitness that transformed his own life. His personal journey inspired him to create a safe, inclusive space where individuals with special needs could experience the benefits of exercise, build confidence, and improve their overall quality of life.
The franchise offers private training, group classes, and school programs tailored to individuals with conditions such as autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and ADHD. With a strong focus on evidence-based practices and a faith-driven mission, Special Strong quickly gained traction and began franchising in 2019. Franchisees are supported through comprehensive training and resources, making it possible to make a meaningful impact in their communities. Special Strong stands out as a purpose-driven business, merging fitness and compassion to serve an often-overlooked population.
