Through their work, they noticed that cats often became lonely and exhibited behavioral changes when left alone at home, even with occasional pet-sitting visits. This observation led them to challenge the common belief that cats prefer staying home while their owners are away. They envisioned a luxury hotel exclusively for cats, where they could receive constant care, enrichment, and attention in a stress-free environment. This idea became the foundation for The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa.
The first location opened in Windsor, Connecticut, featuring individually themed suites, a cage-free environment, and personalized services tailored to feline guests. Its success led to expansion, with additional corporate locations in East Granby, Connecticut, and the introduction of franchise opportunities. Since then, The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa has grown into a national brand with locations in Virginia, Georgia, and New York, among others. Each facility offers luxury accommodations, daily activities, and even spa treatments, ensuring that cats enjoy a pampered experience while their owners are away. The brand continues to grow, maintaining its commitment to providing exceptional feline care in a comfortable, enriching setting.
